  2. This was an eye-opening article I like that you give so many choices on foods that are good for you. But I have a question I love avocado but I was told by an old doctor of mine it was very fattening. Is this true?

    1. Hi Rodney, thank you for your comments, and question. Actually avocados are not fattening. They are high in fat, but it is the healthy monounsaturated fats, with smaller amounts of polyunsaturated fat, and saturated fat. This monounsaturated fat is less likely to be stored as fat, and will be converted to energy. Avocados may not help you lose fat, but they won’t cause you to gain it either.
